S:PAM - Studies in Performing Arts & Media is the research centre of the Theatre, Performance and Media Studies team of Ghent University, led by professors Christel Stalpaert and Katharina Pewny.

S:PAM's research practice is clustered around five main focuses: Technologies; Memories, Traumata & Conflicts; Histories; Dramaturgies and Practices. These research projects include doctoral and postdoctoral research and doctoral research in the arts. A number of research projects are also conducted in close collaboration with other university departments, research groups and partner institutions.
